My views on photography and art

Photography....I'm more interested in a narrative and content than how slick it is and what camera is used etc etc...obviously its good to use nice equipment but at the end of the day if you are photographing a boring pile of shit who cares????

If there is no story or anything to get the viewer thinking what's the point?

I don't care what they think about , SO LONG AS THEY THINK

YOU MAY AS WELL LET YOUR GRANNY TAKE IT OR SET IT ON A TIMER...YOU DONT NEED A PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

of course if its documentation well thats different and serves a purpose in that format but it's not my favourite type of work personally

amazingly 70% of the crap out there is just point and click with absolutely no artistic imput at all, they may take photos but they are NOT artists

also if you look up any real NO BULLSHIT articles on photography it will soon become clear equipment etc if like 20% of it and also a lot of things are hit and miss and chance, so next time you look at some ponces work and go 'oooh I love the way you set this up and the depth and feeling you extracted blah blah blah' remember it was most likely an accident and youre probably just projecting some bullshit from yourself imagining they are cleverer than they are....not to say there are not some people good at that but a lot of what you view you are filling in with your mind

as you would anything but what Im trying to say is you are probably crediting them with more sophisticated attributes than are infact there, I could go into this further but can be bothered , I need a cake;P

one reason I dont try to make people look serious, sophisticated and complex is this:

PEOPLE ARE NOT SOPHISTICATED OR COMPLEX

THEY JUST LIKE TO THINK THEY ARE!

mostly they are simple and limited

THEY CONFUSE BEING CHAOTIC EMOTIONAL WRECKS WITH DUMB BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS FOR 'COMPLEXITY'

when all they are is a simple mess:)

and 90% of the time the person responsible for being in that mess can be found in the mirror

so thats why I dont try to make people look 'deep and sophisticated'

they are mostly infantile in a psyche sense
